It has been quite some time since my last update. Alive festival went really well, other than puking, and being rained on, and all of that good stuff.

From Alive, we went to Creation East which was located in Pennsylvania. I have to say that this was our biggest festival, especially considering the fact that we had SIX BOOTHS which is a lot in case you were wondering. Creation festival was really cool because we had a lot of traffic which lead to a ton of opportunities to pray with people and get to know them. Also, Bryan came in from Haiti which was a blessing because he is a great addition and is always encouraging. David also drove the stork bus up from Dallas, Texas and it was cool to watch him interact with people, raising awareness for Save the Storks. It was also cool to work with him and challenge kids to collect spare change and donate. All in all creation was really cool! The last night I got to pray with a woman named Susie whose son is really struggling with a bad porn addiction, and it has lead him to even distribute porn through social networking sites. It was great to talk to her and pray over her. After creation, we went to this awesome dam and slid down it. At first I could not even jump into the lake because I was too afraid but then I remembered a big reason I wanted to come on this tour: to be taken out of my comfort zone and to be fearless to adventure. Man am I glad that I went down the dam, especially since I went with the lovely Torie!!

From Creation we headed to Life fest in Wisconsin. Life fest was a cool festival not only because as vendors we got to be in the air conditioning, but also because Save The Storks was really popular there and the word spread like wild fire! Also, I got to see my lovely friend from home, Andrew A and I shot photography for a band called loftland!

My new buddy Tanner. Hopefully recording some cello with him.

Now we are in South Dakota preparing for our next festival. This week we will be rock climbing as a team and just getting some blogs written and other work done.

I am learning a lot from ephesians 4:29 this week.

First full day on tour

It basically started out in a bumpy car ride which lead me to puke… a lot. Oatmeal to be specific. I was not feeling great throughout the day, but I refused to let that stop me from witnessing, and talking to the wonderful people that I encountered. I met a handful of awesome people.

Quick stories (because I am tired but want to keep y’all in the loop)

Well, it is time for this girl to get some shut eye!

Stephanie has left the state!

That is right, I am officially in Ohio with the gang! It was a long (4.5 hour) drive to get here, but I am here and with my team of beautiful brothers and sisters. Tonight a few of the members made dinner for us (very appreciated!) and everything remained pretty chill. There was a sudden thunderstorm and as I sat outside watching the lightening, I thanked God for bringing me here. I know this is where I am supposed to be right now.

Tomorrow we will be working Alive Fest and I will have much more to update you on!

Prayer requests:

Thanks everyone!!

Where in the world is Stephanie?

Currently I am lying in my bed at home sick. Since I am not doing much of anything, I figured I would update you as to where I am in my trip planning, and what is to come the next few days.

First of all, today is my graduation party/bon voyage! I am excited to spend the night with my friends and family, reminiscing, laughing, probably crying, singing, and worshiping God around a bonfire. I am excited to eat a lot of fruit, and the salad that has been calling my name from the fridge since yesterday. Ohhh, and giant marshmallows. I hate marshmallows and most other sweet things, but these things are ginormous so I must have one!

Tomorrow, I will spend the day writing thank you cards, packing and going to alive (my churches youth group) to say goodbye to some of my sweet friends.

Monday morning, I have to go get money from a school in ann arbor, and then I have to go pay my enrollment fee. Afterwards, I will (God-willingly) be headed to mineral city, Ohio to meet up with my team at Alive Fest. There is a chance that I will not be going until early tuesday morning, but we will see.

Nothing can stand against His will

So ever since April, I have been planning to leave on June 20th for summer tour. As the date gets closer, Satan strikes harder and harder in attempt to keep me here. Monday I went to register at Concordia. Originally, we thought that I would only have to pay a thousand for a semester but it turned out it was closer to eight thousand. At that point, I was faced with a decision as to whether I was going to bite the bullet and pay eight thousand dollars to get pre-reqs or if I was going to attend a community college for free and get money back for financial aid. Finally, I decided to go to HFCC, transfer to a community college in Dallas as of spring semester, get my associates there, and then go to either DBU or SAGU for my B.A. and Masters in Psych. The problem with all of this was that I literally had less than a week to take my placement tests and enroll, and the office of admissions said they had no idea when they could get me in. I had been praying about this all day yesterday, for God’s will to be done and apparent to me. Today, I went to take my placement test and afterwards, I was told that they had one availability for me to meet with a counselor. After meeting with her, I was able to enroll and plan my schedule! Thank you Jesus for allowing it all to work out. Now, Satan is attacking me through my health. I woke up today with swollen glands and a sore throat and a dreadful cough. Please pray for healing as I set off on this beautiful journey in four short days!

Fearless Stephanie

So almost exactly a year ago, I was at a christian music festival called Cornerstone when I came in contact with a group called live offensively. My current boyfriend (a complete stranger to me at the time of Cornerstone) started telling me all about the things that Live Offensively stands for, and what they do. As he was telling me these things, it felt as if many prayers had been answered. I was hoping for an opportunity to travel the country, ministering to teens, allowing God to stretch me, and here it was! Throughout the year I prayed for God’s confirmation, and His provision, to allow me to go on tour with Live Offensively if it was in His will, and thankfully it was! I will be leaving in one short week and after a year of praying and preparing for this adventure spiritually, I am excited to see what God has in store. Please pray for my team and I as we are traveling.
